"I ASKED GOD TO MAKE MY HEART COLD SO I COULDN'T FEEL. I ASKED GOD TO TAKE AWAY THE GREED IN MY EYES SO I WOULDN'T BE BLIND. GOD ANSWERED "I WILL GIVE YOU LOVE THAT IS ENDLESS BUT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT IN YOUR HEART AND VALUE WHAT YOU SEE!"

"THE AIR IS THE ONLY PLACE FREE FROM PREJUDICES." AFTER HEARING THE STORIES OF BLACK PILOTS ELIZABETH BESSIE COLEMAN DECIDED TO BE A PILOT. NO PILOT SCHOOLS IN THE U.S. WOULD ACCEPT HER BECAUSE SHE WAS BLACK & A WOMAN. IN 1921 IN PARIS SHE BECAME THE FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE PILOT & THE FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN TO HAVE A INTERNATIONAL PILOT LICENSE. SHE RETURN TO THE U.S. AND WAS KNOWN AS "QUEEN BESSIE." IN 1994 THE U.S POSTAL SERVICE HONORED "QUEEN BESSIE" WITH A COMMEMORATIVE STAMP BEARING HER IMAGE. IN 1995 "QUEEN BESSIE" WAS INDUCTED INTO THE WOMEN AVIATION HALL OF FAME.
